I visited the leather school where I got a handmade lipstick case stamped with my monogram (highly recommend). Explored the amazing Boboli Gardens, and gazed over some of the most beautiful churches and sunsets I have ever seen. I was also lucky to meet up with some of my friends studying abroad in Florence for a lovely dinner. Overall, Florence was a fantastic experience and I hope to visit again one day.
In Florence, this was my favorite look. My outfit here is one of the easiest to reproduce. I have been all about the blazer look as of late because I think it is perfectly sophisticated and versatile. It can be worn with anything from jeans to a dress. This look is a very easy way to layer in an in-between temperature (50-65 degrees). In this look, I have layered a leather shift dress from Urban Outfitters with a soft leopard sweater from Bershka, and an H&M blazer. Extremely affordable garments are paired with some accessories from Mango (bag) and American Eagle (shoes).
There is no other way to say it; chic does not need to be expensive. If you need affordable alternatives to stay on trend, they are everywhere. More often than not, I pair less expensive, trend pieces with my "investment" pieces. Putting a look together doesn't need to be one brand or price-tag, think of it like building a cocktail recipe, add things that you like that balance each other.
One thing I did on this trip is pack for the entire week in one carry-on suitcase. *pats myself on the back* My suitcase is from Target and I am in love with it. Find it here.
Packing tips; when you're traveling with only a carry-on (especially when going through London Heathrow Airport lol) you must be careful about your liquids, so luckily I had my handy Kiehl's and DryBar minis. Secondly, when it comes to clothes, pick a color scheme. This way, the pieces you pack can be interchanged with different looks and repeated without looking like they are. This sweater has black, cream, and a light brown in its pattern. This is a perfect piece to pair with the browns and blacks I packed with me.

Originally, I had planned on wearing the black leather dress over a white t-shirt, but it was chillier than planned so I was about to alter the outfit accordingly because I packed within on color scheme. If you like the look, check out all similar pieces linked below!
