Embrace it All

Hi everyone and welcome back! Happy Sunday! I am so happy to be sharing some of my most recent style finds and some motivation for starting the week. I had some plans for Super Bowl Sunday, but unfortunately, I find myself at home sitting in bed all weekend due to some health obstacles.

So, I would like to start with a quick tip on positivity. Stop, be still, and don't plan everything. Sometimes life hands you things at the worst times, sometimes the best times, but don't worry if things don't happen exactly the way you want them to, when you want them to. Sometimes I love to plan, and to expect things to be exactly the way I plan them. But, today, and everyday, I am reminded that this is not my world to control, there is so much peace that comes from patience. Your goals will be achieved and your needs will be fulfilled, in time!

With that being said, I wanted to share with you all some of the easiest, trend-forward pieces to style. We are talking all comfy, casual, and basic. These pieces can go with just about everything in your closet and can be layered for the different seasons.

As the sun has been coming out, I am excited for spring, and so let's start with the black crop hoodie. This hoodie is great by itself, but even better under a jean jacket, leather jacket, or even a wool winter coat. I also love the quality of this specific hoodie. I have washed it a few times and non of the color is fading, it's still true black!

Next, my jeans. I've talked about my denim obsession many times on the blog, so if you're looking for a denim recommendation, check out Madewell for endless options.

In regards to my jacket, there are two styles of denim jackets I am really loving right now. First, there is the crop denim jacket that exposes more of your shape and looks great with a high rise skirt, jeans, or something a bit dressier. Second, as I have styled here, the oversized denim jacket. This is a light wash which contrasts well with the all-black backdrop of my jeans and hoodie.

The light wash is great if you're sporting a casual look and pairing with light colored sneakers as I have on here. If you think the chunky sneaker trend is too iffy for you to pull off, I have linked some less-expensive versions to try before you over commit, and spend too much money on chunky white sneakers just to find yourself looking like one of those stuck-in-the-sketchers age people.

Find all of those links here!

Otherwise, thank you so much for reading, even more new looks coming soon! Check out my Instagram @just.emma.joy for more style inspo.
