I know that coming up with something to give your Valentine, at any stage of a relationship, can be a challenge. When it is early on, you don't know how much to spend, and when you've been with someone for a long time, you want to make it special and not just a practical gift. With that being said, I have come up with some gifting options at different price points that will "wow" your Valentine no matter your budget!
Before I get into the gift guides, I have 3 major tips on gifting. These things might sound crazy, but you will be surprised how much paying attention to details can elevate your gift at any price point.
Top 3 Gifting Tips
1. Pick a theme: Whether it is a color scheme or the repetitive use of polkadots, a theme is extremely helpful in wrapping and assembling the perfect gift. If you chose one color, you can bring in lots of smaller elements to complement your gift and make it seem cohesive and exciting to open. Simply, it shows you put a lot of thought into choosing things you know they would like.
2. Wrap each individual piece: Even if one of the pieces of your gift is a $3 chapstick, wrap it separately. When people have more to open, it feels like they are opening more and getting an even bigger gift. It is a great way to make your budget feel bigger when gifting.
3. Plan the opening: If you know that you are only giving one thing, or you've opted to buy concert tickets instead of a tangible item... GREAT! You don't have to wrap it, but half the fun of getting a gift it unwrapping it and holding it. So, if your gift can't be unwrapped or held, still make the gift-giving part memorable. Whether it is making dinner and playing music by the band the concert tickets are for, or buying a luggage tag off Amazon as a sneak peak to a trip you've planned, the presentation of a gift can make all the difference in their excitement.

ReplyDeleteGreat question Isaac! It depends on your relationship. A meaningful date is always a romantic idea, or you can opt for a phrase or lyric that reminds you of them! :)
