Last Minute Gifting & Winter Picks

Whether you're last-minute gifting or self-styling for the winter, I've put together an outfit that has all my winter favorites in one. The separate pieces of this look can make great gifts (links under photos).

Let's start with my sweater. I worked at Madewell again for my Thanksgiving break and this was my go-to recommendation (meaning: I bought this in numerous colors for myself). This sweater is a wool blend that isn't scratchy but is warm and lightweight. Sounds too good to be true, right? Wrong! Madewell made the perfect sweater this year with a mock neck to add modern style to this staple winter layering piece. A common trend is to go for oversized sweaters, however, including shoppers looking for oversized sweaters loved this one. It can even be layered under your favorite button-down or flannel.

In addition, this J. Crew skirt has tones of blue, green, brown, and beige which is great to pair with any of your favorite sweaters. When purchasing skirts, I like them to interesting enough while still being versatile. The ruffle detail on the bottom makes for a feminine addition to the menswear pattern of the skirt. My advice, size down in it as the skirt runs a little large.

Bag

On to the tights, one of my biggest winter loves are not black, but navy tights. I find navy tights to be a bit less harsh than the look of black if you're pairing them with lighter colors in winter.

comes in gold, silver, and rose gold. I am wearing gold. In addition, I am wearing my everyday Fossil watch which can be a great holiday gift as well.

This bracelet is my favorite gift I have received this year. This KJP pearl bracelet with a navy bow detail has become a staple in my everyday jewelry collection. If we're being honest, navy is a neutral for me so this bracelet goes with just about everything. It comes in a few different colors as well.
