5 Easy Switches to Increase your Energy


Chao everyone! I have always been a huge proponent of SLEEP. So yes, I love to stay in bed and have had a hard time finding the perfect recipe for more energy. I have tried everything from a vegetarian diet to massive caffeine intakes, but none of it worked. Now I think I've found it! Now, everyone is completely different, but I have created a list of 5 easy changes to help boost your daily energy.

1) Swap your coffee for tea or matcha! - Matcha is a much healthier source of energy. It is packed with antioxidants, it boosts your metabolism to burn calories, and it detoxifies your body naturally. It also calms and relaxes your mind while enhancing your mood. Swap your cappuccino for a matcha latte at your coffee shop and feel the difference.

2) Drink plenty of water to avoid headaches or caffeine crashes. I used to get headaches and neck tension from being on a computer all day and drinking coffee, but drinking water settles my mind and my stomach during the day so irritation does wear me down.

3) No screens 30 min before bed. - The light of your phone and TV stimulate your brain and make it harder to sleep when you need to and want to. Use the time before bed to relax, so your mind is settled and you don't have as much trouble with falling asleep or late night worries.

4) Use essential oils before bed! Lavender essential oil and my Midnight Recovery serum from Kiehl's have made a huge difference in my night-time and sleep habits.

5) Try sleep yoga (yoga nidra). Yoga Nidra is hands down one of the greatest things I have ever discovered. I have been told that it can give you the amount of rest that 3 hours of sleep can in 30 min without even falling asleep. For me, I believe it. I feel refreshed and rejuvenated after every session.
