Hi there, you look great today! I know I can't see you, but everyone deserves a compliment!
To give you some background, I have been doing OrangeTheory for a year and a half, but until a couple of months ago, I had only been paying for 8 classes per month, instead of unlimited, and IT HAS CHANGED ME. That sounds dramatic, but I am truly a changed woman from it. My body and mind have never felt better.
However, getting to the body part of that. OrangeTheory is one part stationary rower, one part treadmill, and one part weight floor and the rowing tends to tighten my hip flexers. For those of you that have known me for a long time, you would know that I had back surgery in high school. I have always been active and am prone to lumbar spine issues so when something around that area doesn't feel right, I have to take care of it as soon as possible.
The best way I have managed this is by stretching and actually taking rest days. First, skipping your rest days will not get you closer to your goals, instead it will push you even further back in the long run if you end up injured. Secondly, stretching is VITAL. As you get older, your muscles won't be able to react and bounce back the way they have in the past and will just compound on the tension already created in your muscles. Take your rest days and available mornings to stretch, to not only help your body but your mind too.
My favorite form of stretching is following basic yoga flows on YouTube that target specific areas of my body that feel tense or achy.
